FreshDirect is the leading online fresh food production and distribution service in the US, offering unparalleled quality, product customization and value pricing from its state-of-the-art facility in New York. The company currently has over 250,000 customers and has fulfilled close to 3 million orders since opening for business in 2002. EU Edge is helping FreshDirect realize its vision to change consumers’ lives by providing the ultimate shopping experience for fresh food and meal solutions.
We are responsible for the architecture and implementation for their entire e-commerce solution, ranging from the storefront to the CRM and CMS systems, integration with the SAP ERP backend, as well as payment and delivery scheduling systems. We provide full lifecycle development, starting from a project brief, analysis and ending with fully tested and deployed application enhancements.

Festo AG
Festo is an industrial control and automation company based in Germany. They have commissioned EU Edge to develop the control software for a new 3D printer model, used for rapid prototyping.
Sparta Social Networks
Sparta Social Networks is the market-leading white label social network platform in the US. It provides enterprises with complete, turn-key solutions that enable customer communities. EU Edge provides process development, architecture engineering and performance tuning services to the company helping it meet the challenges of business growth: user experience enhancement and thus improvement of customer satisfaction. An important aspect of this project is the performance optimization of Sparta Social Networks’ proven, scalable Java based platform to enable continuous growth.
Roma Education Fund
The Roma Education Fund, a Swiss Foundation, supports greater research, studies and evaluations that contribute to effective policies and programs for inclusion of Roma in national education systems. EU Edge is developing a Management Information System tailored to their specific needs to support coordination of ongoing projects, capture and audit related documents and provide performance reports.
Open Society Institute
The Roma Memorial University Scholarship Program, funded by the Open Society Institute and the Roma Education Fund, offers scholarships for Romani students at the university level in 10 Eastern European countries. EU Edge is building a Grant Management System which supports the evaluation and tracking of large numbers of grant applications, aids the decision making process and generates reports.
Wescom Nursecall
Wescom Products, twenty years in the nurse call business, is a nationally recognized leader in communications, data and tracking networks and peripheral products for the healthcare industry. EU Edge worked with Wescom to develop a user interface prototype for the next generation of their systems with innovative capabilities.
Media Development Loan Fund
Media Development Loan Fund is a non-profit investment fund for independent news media in emerging democracies. EU Edge lead the development of LiveSupport, a free and open source automation system for radio stations.
