Founded in 2003, LogMeIn's world headquarters are located just outside Boston, Massachusetts, with European headquarters in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, Asia Pacific headquarters in Sydney, Australia, and development centers in Budapest and Szeged, Hungary.

EU Edge has been working on several LogMeIn products, performing user interface design and front-end development.

Dragontape is a great new web app to create your own mixtapes of YouTube videos. Dragontape is built on the charmingly simple idea that most people who’ve ever enjoyed a YouTube party in their lives would probably welcome a bit more sophistication in creating and sharing selections of their favorite clips.

What Dragontape does and how it works is summed up very clearly in the app’s name – there’s a kind of tape, and you drag clips on it to make a mix. You can then save the mix and send a simple URL to your friends to enjoy anytime they wish. And all this through a very easy going and beautiful user interface.

Eu Edge was called upon to put its programming skills behind the project, turning the ideas of the guys behind Dragontape into executable code. It was a really fun piece of job to make, and it didn’t lack surprises and challenges. A good bit of Flash wizardry was needed, there came the usual game of browser compatibility to keep us entertained, and of course it runs on the Google App Engine service, which we always love to work with.

The Roma Memorial University Scholarship Program, funded by the Open Society Institute and the Roma Education Fund, offers scholarships for Romani students at the university level in 10 Eastern European countries. EU Edge is building a Grant Management System which supports the evaluation and tracking of large numbers of grant applications, aids the decision making process and generates reports.

The Roma Education Fund, a Swiss Foundation, supports greater research, studies and evaluations that contribute to effective policies and programs for inclusion of Roma in national education systems. EU Edge is developing a Management Information System tailored to their specific needs to support coordination of ongoing projects, capture and audit related documents and provide performance reports.

EU Edge provides process development, architecture engineering and performance tuning services to the company helping it meet the challenges of business growth: user experience enhancement and thus improvement of customer satisfaction. An important aspect of this project is the performance optimization of Sparta Social Networks’ proven, scalable Java based platform to enable continuous growth.
