Founder Bios

Viktor Szathmáry

Viktor Sofware developer and architect, with broad experience in customer facing online applications. Viktor was lead developer for New York-based startup FreshDirect, an online fresh food production service, responsible for e-commerce site as well as CRM, CMS and integration with SAP (2001-2005). Other notable projects include: Concorde Direct, the first Hungarian online stock trading system (1999-2001); Chatsubo, a scalable chat server platform (1998-2001); chat.hu, the largest Hungarian chat community, with over a million registered accounts (1999-2001). Viktor has developed and contributed to number of open source projects. He is a certified ScrumMaster.

Ákos Maróy

Akos Ákos Maróy works as a software developer since 1995, always focusing on cutting edge technologies and methodologies. He has written the first Java Servlet engine based web site in Hungary in 1997-1998 for Pesti Est, a free weekly program magazine. He has worked for Nokia as a subcontractor in Helsinki, Finland between 1999-2001 on WAP related technologies for the award winning Nokia Active Server enterprise product, while also being active in the WAP standardization process at the WAP Forum. Since 2004 he has worked for the Centre for Advanced Media Prague branch of the Media Development Loan Fund, providing analysis and development services for media-oriented open source software solutions. Ákos has developed the open source media streamer DarkIce.
